EBCRP joins GivingTuesday campaign
Giving Tuesday, a national day of giving that kicks off the giving season, will be back on our calendars this December 3! Celebrated annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, the day encourages giving back to support non-profits. You can take part by giving a meaningful gift in support of our work with mothers, families, the homeless, and the mentally ill.
Last year, more than $10 million was raised on Giving Tuesday, which marked a 53% increase in giving from the same day in 2011. Over 2,500 non-profit partners drove conversation and participation, which trended on Twitter nationally and led to engagement from Bill Gates and The White House, among other influencers.
This year, the Giving Tuesday movement already has more than 3000 partners all over the United States. East Bay Community Recovery Project has partnered with Giving Tuesday to provide an alternative to the consumer-driven shopping holidays that can support lasting change in the community and throughout the world.
This year, Giving Tuesday is December 3, 2013. What will you give?
