Dynamic Merger in Alameda County

East Bay Community Recovery Project Joins LifeLong Medical Care’s Family of Services

Partnership offers a fuller array of medical and behavioral health services

BERKELEY, CA – East Bay Community Recovery Project (EBCRP) has joined LifeLong Medical Care’s family of services. The partnership allows LifeLong Medical Care and EBCRP to offer a fuller array of medical, behavioral health, substance-use treatment, case management, and dental services to Alameda County residents.

“Both LifeLong Medical Care and EBCRP believe that everyone has the right to high quality care. This partnership will help us deliver excellent, integrated care across the County,” said Marty Lynch, LifeLong Medical Care’s Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer.

“By merging with LifeLong Medical Care, we are strengthening our collective mission to increase access to high-quality mental health, substance-use disorder, primary care, dental and wellness services to people with some of the greatest needs in our community”, said Marta Rose, EBCRP co-founder and LifeLong-EBCRP Program and Operations Director.

East Bay Community Recovery Project was founded in 1989 by Joan Zweben, PhD, and Marta Rose, LMFT, to provide recovery services for people with co-occurring substance use and mental-health services in Alameda County. Its programs serve approximately 1,100 low-income populations with complex behavior health needs and substance use disorders at four service sites: three in Oakland and one in Hayward.

More than 50 percent of EBCRP clients already access LifeLong’s primary care services through medical centers operated on-site for EBCRP and through other LifeLong Health Centers such as LifeLong Trust, LifeLong Downtown Oakland, LifeLong Ashby, and LifeLong East Oakland. We are looking forward to integrating the rest of the EBCRP clients into LifeLong’s family.
