Supportive Housing
Partnership with Alameda County Health Care Services
Our commitment to permanent supportive housing is one of the many reasons EBCRP stands apart in Alameda County. Currently, we are able to provide a limited number of supportive housing units because of a partnership with Alameda County Behavioral Health Care and funding from the Mental Health Services Act. However, we cannot accept referrals for these units as enrollment is limited to individuals referred through Alameda county subsidies.
Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP)
The City of Oakland provides East Bay Community Recovery Project with a grant to provide Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) services. The target population consists of current EBCRP clients who qualify as homeless with a co-occurring disorder due to mental illness, chronic drug or alcohol dependence, HIV/AIDS, and/or Hepatitis C infection. The program is designed to provide housing counseling, support services, case management, financial planning, employment support, outreach, and assistance in obtaining appropriate housing.
Our Housing Specialist will assist clients with completing housing applications, applying for project based subsidies such as Season of Sharing, Shelter Plus Care, and Section 8. In addition, outside referrals may be made to agencies which might be able to assist clients with utility bill payments, security deposits and/or moving expenses. For more information about the HPRP program, contact our Rapid Re-Housing Specialist at 446-7147 or send an email.
